Somerset's Young Carers - have your say.....
Please help us to get the best support for young carers and their families by completing one of four short anonymous survey by Sunday 21 November.
Somerset County Council has launched the online surveys to hear from the following groups:
- Young carers
- The parents/guardians of young carers
- Education professionals working with young carers in schools and other settings
- Professionals working across the system in Somerset who may be working directly with young carers or may encounter them as part of their roles.
We want to hear about:
- What life is like for young carers in Somerset
- How young carers and their families access support, guidance and information
- What would most improve young carers lives
- How young carers and their families would like to be supported in order to achieve their hopes and aspirations for the future
We appreciate that the COVID-19 pandemic may have had an impact on young carers - their school life, their health and their wellbeing. We hope that the surveys will help us to better understand these impacts.
We need your help to better understand our services, the support we provide, and how these could be improved. The more that we and our partners, including health and education, understand about the lives of young carers, the better we can work together to design and develop services for young carers in the future.
The surveys are anonymous, if there is anything you don't understand or feel uncomfortable about answering, please feel free to contact us: childrenscommissioning@somerset.gov.uk
