Somerset Minerals Plan: Preferred Options

The Minerals Preferred Options Paper contains draft preferred policies relating to future minerals development within Somerset, including both "Strategic" and Development Management policies. The consultation covers all minerals extracted in Somerset, namely aggregates, peat and building stone. It provides an opportunity for consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, including the general public. Feedback from this consultation will inform the preparation of the County Council's Minerals Plan which which will set out the Council's approach to minerals planning until 2030.

Electronic copies of all documents are available below, alternatively paper copies of all documents can be requested from us by calling 0845 345 9188. Copies are also available at the county libraries.

Officers from the Council's Minerals and Waste Policy Team will be present at two drop in sessions (details below) where interested parties can come and talk about the consultation.
